Hi All, Just got a XDSR380 and I believe this box has a number of other brands. Which software can you use through the RS232 port to talk and upload file with please.

seems u r in little confusing abt ur receiver model?(the header of ur post says as its XDSR380HDplus but ur message says as its XDSR380 :) ) any way, try this tool!

Thank you to The Boss for those files. I do have the 380hdPlus, just kept it short. Also if you or another can advise what the User Name and Password is from a Web Browser ( similar to Root, Dreambox ).

just use "root" only in user column and just leave empty in password. BTW, next time press thanks or like or star icon to say thanks instead of words! :)

Are the .IMG files for Xcruiser similar to dreambox. In other words can they be used because both are Linux based?

no and no way as lot of linux based boxes there in market and all r using different firmwares but only few boxes using .IMG file even u can't use it vise versa!

I have a Dreambox .IMG file with information I want to include on the Xcruiser. Would program like Total Commander suite to copy and paste into the appropriate DIR?

as for as i know...not possible (reverse engineering? ) but u can use some files (user configured files) of DM with some modification (sorry i don't how to), in ur xcruiser!
