Hi predator,

My DM does not boot at all so i do not have an ethernet connection in order to use the DCC. As i know DCC communicates with the DM vi network.

Thanks.

1.can you see the files of your dreambox via ftp?
if yes take one backup your files.
2.if you can't do it you must reflash your dreambox using null modem
seirial cable and the programm dreamup.
This box never dies.
If u have more questions post here

DreamUp has got erase option. Once you connect, it will highlight on Flash and Flash Erase. Just follow the DreamUp procedure. Use RSS232 Cable (serial cable). Switch off the box from the socket, connect the box to your PC, open DreamUp, click on connect (do not tick on Use Network, leave it untick).

After you click on connect. It will prompt that your box is alive and speaking. It will ask you to switch the box on. Switch the box on from the socket and click on flash. Browse the image file and wait till the flash finish successfullly.

Note: If initially you click only on Flash than after the image file is uploaded, it will ask you if you want to 'Flash Erase'.

After its done, Switch the box off and on again and you are ready to go.

I hope this helps.

I can flash it only with dreamup debug version but when i am power on it i have the same results it says from the console

Dreambox DM600PVR
FIRST STAGE 1.6 {BE3E3E3E3E3}
RESCUE{0234}
Second stage loader wasn't found. Don't panic - it's not a (real) problem.
You don't need to repair your Dreambox. It just means that the flashrom
was erased, and with it the graphical menu. You can restore this with a
tool like DreamUp, only with serial access.

Thanks.

Try using the latest version of Dreamup and than flash it using a null modem cable.

Thanks everyone for your help. I just removed also the tuner and i found that one chip (CA interface) was totally burned because of power loss. So i will order a new one and of course a UPS.

Thanks in advance.

Hi there, i'm new here, second day on my dm600pvr.
I have the exact same problem, when i try to reflash with DreamUp (1334), I get the error message "No CA found by 2nd stage loader"

@John: when you say that this box never dies, i feel confident that you have a solution, thanx.

EDIT: the dm isnt visible on LAN, cant use dcc.

Hi again,
When i removed the tuner, i found a kind of SIM CARD, it was recovered with some kind of black powder, dont know if that means burned or its just something to seal that simcard holder ?
Thanks for your support
